Connecting people to Jesus, even with my finances.

Why We Give
The
Bible tells us that Jesus said, “Where your treasure is, there will your
heart also be.” (Matt. 6:21) We believe that God wants us to follow Him
with all of our hearts, so it is no surprise that Jesus talked more
about money than he did prayer, heaven and hell. Simply said, if our
heart is following God, there is no doubt our finances will, too.
We
believe giving is a tangible way to respond to the incredible
generosity of God and is an act of worship. We recognize that God owns
everything, and we want to be faithful stewards of all He has entrusted
to us.
Giving is a reflection of your heart. Matthew 6:19-21
It is a privilege. 2 Corinthians 8:2-7
It is an example of our faith in action. Acts 4:32-35
How We Give
At Park Chapel we have two primary ways to give. You can give a physical gift of cash, check, stock, etc.; or by giving online.
Although a physical gift can be given at any time throughout the week, we primarily receive gifts of cash, checks, and the like during our weekend services. There are several ways to exercise this method of giving. If you would like to know more about ways to give a physical gift (including offering envelopes) please contact Katie Ketchen.
To give online you can use our online giving portal. This type of gift can be set as a one-time gift, or you can set up recurring schedules to automatically give. For more information you can see our list of Online Giving Frequently Asked Questions below.
Where We Give
Park Chapel uses money as a tool to accomplish our mission of Connecting People to Jesus. Many of the things we do, on the surface, may seem impossible, but in reality as we come together we are able to accomplish much more than any one of us could accomplish on our own. As a matter of fact, we are actively involved in showing God's love to thousands of people from Hancock County, throughout the United States, and all over the world.
In response to God's generosity, as a church we give away over 27% of the offering received to our ministry partners. In 2011 alone, we will give over $775,000! Simply put, it is a privilege to share in the work God is doing all around us.
Accountability
The leadership of Park Chapel is committed to managing finances in the most ethical and professional way possible. We actively take steps to ensure the safety and accountability of the money given to our mission of Connecting People to Jesus. If you would like to understand more about these steps we take to ensure open and accountable financial practices, please feel free to contact our Finance Team by emailing us at giving@parkchapel.org.
Online Giving Frequently Asked Questions
What are my online giving payment options?

set up to accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
Can I schedule a one-time gift?
Yes, this option is available when you make your contribution.
Can I schedule a recurring gift?
Yes,
you can schedule this anytime. Your recurring giving options are:
weekly, every other week, twice a month, monthly, quarterly, or yearly.
What if I need to change my giving schedule or stop it?
You can edit or remove your giving schedule at any time before the date of your next contribution; just log in, and under Contribution Schedule select “Edit” or “Delete.”
Is online giving secure?
Absolutely. For more details, please see our Security Policy.
Why do I have to set up an account and password?
Setting up an account and password is necessary for the security of your transaction.
If Park Chapel teaches Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace classes, why are credit card gifts allowed?
Many
people use debit and credit cards in place of checks or cash, so we
wanted to have this option available for their convenience. We strongly
discourage those who have ongoing credit card debt from exercising the
credit card option when giving online, and we strongly encourage those
who use credit cards to pay off the balance in full every month.
Are there any hidden charges or fees to give online?
There are no fees assessed to you for an online gift. The full amount is recognized as your donation.
Will my online gifts appear on my contribution statement?
Yes. In fact, you can view your up-to-date contribution history anytime (both online and physical gifts) once you have logged in.
If you have additional questions, please email us at giving@parkchapel.org, and our staff will respond as soon as possible.
