Church Planting

Park Chapel is committed to outreach both in the United States and globally through evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and humanitarian efforts. We seek God’s leading and leadership through prayer, study, and research for our vision and mission strategy. Our mission team is intentional with larger investments in a smaller number of ministry partners in order to have a stronger impact and closer relationships with those partners. We consider it a tremendous joy to be used by God for His great purpose.

Our Commitment to the Great Commission

It is impossible to read God's word without seeing His passion and plans for the world. Throughout the entire Bible, there is a mission for the church - not just a few select people, but for all of us - to boldly engage our community, our nation, and the entire world. We believe God has called us to be a part of this bigger story in connecting the world to Jesus. In Matthew 28:28-30 scripture says:

"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age.'" (NIV)

Our strategic global outreach plan is to partner in specific areas of the world to maximize our resources for God's kingdom. We have invested, and are continuing to invest, significantly in these global partners through prayer, encouragement, finances, and sending our own people on short-term trips.

We believe the local church is the vehicle God uses to further His kingdom. Local churches are best positioned to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the community. We are committed to planting indigenous churches where there is no healthy church influence as well as partnering with healthy local churches to transform their communities and expand outreach in the area.

Our Global Goals:

  • Take the gospel to places that unengaged or unreached. These are areas where less than 2% of the population is Christian and/or there is no current strategy for evangelism or church planting.
  • In areas where there is a healthy local church, partner directly with them to help resource them to transform their community and expand their witness in the area.
  • Where possible, work with or alongside indigenous believers to equip and support them to lead their own people to Christ. If this is not possible, partner with sending organizations and their missionaries to establish train national leaders.
  • As we go, show the love of Christ by not only meeting the spiritual need but the physical need. We believe the spiritual need and physical need go hand in hand and cannot be separated. ["For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and  you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me." Matthew 25:35-36 (NIV)]
