At Park Chapel we believe God has called us to Connect People to Jesus. Scripture demonstrates through Christ, the best way to connect people to Jesus is through discipleship. As you get to know us we hope you will join us in becoming disciples.

HOW TO START A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

Every human being has a God-given desire to want to know God more. Jesus said the greatest thing we can do with our life is to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. Through the Bible, God invites you to begin a relationship with Him by making the following decisions:

1) ADMIT your need for God.

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard. (Romans 3:23)

It's your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore. (Isaiah 59:2)

2) TURN away from sin and towards God. [repent]

Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.(Acts 3:19)

Come close to God, and God will come close to you.  (James 4:8)

3) TRUST that Christ died on the cross for your sin and rose from the dead to give you life.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. (John 10:10)

4) EXPRESS your commitment to Jesus.

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.(Acts 2:38)

Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.!! (Romans 6:3-4)

5) FOLLOW Jesus and CONTINUE His mission in your life.

Jesus called out to them, "Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!" (Matthew 4:19)

All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord's Supper), and to prayer.(Acts 2:42)
